A bland video, but this is the Robert Shaw festival singers. He's the conductor who had his choirs countsing until right before performance because he wanted vertical accuracy... and they sang "tee" instead of "three." Be sure to comment for credit!

The singers in this video are very accurate in their rhythms. There is a good blend in the group.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful tone and very mature sound.
ReplyDeleteHearing this song all together, sounds really pretty and mystical..
ReplyDeleteThe choir did the dynamics really well.
-Meredith Bactol
the tenors are so strong in this choir- Brandon Wickham
ReplyDeleteThis choir worked together very well sound in the video isn't great but you can still tell.
ReplyDeletei liked this one because of the dynamics and blending, also the timing was very well done. Also i noticed that there was hardly any vibrato-Bailee
ReplyDeleteKind of "spooky" sound, good tone quality. Loved the blend in the piece.
ReplyDelete- Nick Farrell
They blend very well.
ReplyDeleteEverything is so well connected.

I love how they arched their phrases and let their stagnant notes grow and crescendo, especially in the beginning when all voice parts came in.
ReplyDeleteThe choir had great support. It was so relaxing and soothing that way they sang.
ReplyDeletethis sounds really pretty put together

you can hear all the voice parts clear and crisp. The singers sang great vowels too. one of my favorite songs to sing
ReplyDelete-Fernando "nanderz" Hernandez.
they sounded very professional and had good dynamics and tone quality
ReplyDeleteI think we will sound just as good wonce we get on words and do a bit more practic.
ReplyDeleteIt actually sounds really beautiful, though I struggle with this song so badly.

ReplyDeleteThe sound was fuller because of the space. I thought the venue did interesting things to their vocals
Oh! This this is the version I listened to at home. The sound is so grand and the parts are well organized.
ReplyDeleteThis group had very good dynamics and when different voice parts had a "run" as you called it you could tell they put a crescendo on it. The vowels were good as was the pitch accuracy. They also kept the tempo on track the entire song which in comparison, we tend to speed up halfway through the song.

i am not going to be mean because the piece was great...but i swear i fell asleep during this song...the group sounded amazing, but i felt like it was a part of a LORD OF THE RINGS ending because it had that "sad" tone to it. Could it be a little bit happier sounding? just curious...decreshendoes and creshendoes (bad spelling) were amazing!
